That's right your deepest fear is yourself........FACT!
The fear that when you get an objection you will give up.
The fear that when you first see your prospect you pre judge and assume that this will be a no sell.
The fear that you feel that the price is too high, the prospect can't afford it.
The fear that because they can't afford it you will go straight to the bottom drop price, the cheapest option and then when they say no, blame the client anyway.
The fear that because you have had no sales all week no one is going to buy from you today.
The fear that because others are not selling nor will you.
The fear that because you listened to the others that are not selling and took in the excuses that they have been given. When you get the same ones...it feels ok. Now you can join in the conversation next time you meet in the bar drinking and playing the blame game.
The fear that you can't do this.
The fear that it's not you it is the prospects;, the leads you have are no good.....why can't you just see the prospects who want to buy?
The fear that the presentation you used and that worked that got you sales, now doesn't work so you need to change it........(yet these new short-cuts will never work!)
You must remember that what you believe, with emotion becomes your reality............FACT! and all the fears above are created by YOU, and believed by YOU with YOUR emotion, so that's what happens......FACT!
How do I get rid of these fears?
By focusing your mind on the right things and the right thoughts, taking the right action that will direct you to success.
What does that mean? Sounds all cozmo mumbo pma bullshit really?
OK......If you have seen a drop in your sales performance recently, look back and be very very honest with yourself, how much time have you spent working on your Sales Skills, focusing on the right things? When was the last time you purchased a sales book, or even picked one up to read?
Take your typical sales day a 9am to 5pm How much of that time is spent in negative thought, in worry?
Yea but......my first pitch said no, had loads of excuses.........
The greatest of all fears is the fear of rejection. and if you can't handle rejection then I am afraid you have picked the wrong career. Love rejection, welcome it, and take it all week........as long as you use it as feedback toward success rather than failure. When you fear rejection you become a weak sales professional, you forget to close and mention TODAY you hope that they will just buy at the end of your presentation and when they don't you will just create another excuse that you believe. Of course it's never you.
LETS PUT FEARS TO BED RIGHT NOW................All my Sales Career I have succeeded in Sales and rode that mental rollarcoaster of the highs of selling and lows of rejection by installing in my mind the FACT that is this......
THERE IS A SALE IN EVERY PRESENTATION I DO.....FACT! EITHER THE PROSPECTS SELL ME IN THE FACT THEY DO NOT WANT IT, CAN'T AFFORD IT OR WHATEVER EXCUSE THEY TELL ME.....OR I SELL THEM, THEY BUY, THEY ARE HAPPY, THEY GIVE ME REFERRAL'S AND I GET PAID MONEY IN MY BANK....JOB DONE.
Every pitch there is a sale.....FACT! Sometimes you are the pigeon, sometimes you are the statue, but every day there is a sale, it's them or me!
